All of our sale horses come with an up-to-date vaccination record that follows the recommendations from the AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners) in order to ensure all precautions are taken so you have a happy, healthy horse for years to come. The primary company that manufactures most of the vaccines that we use is MERCK. Every Merck Animal Health vaccine is backed by their Equine Vaccine Performance Guarantee, which provides up to $5,500 in reasonable diagnostic & treatment costs for any horse properly vaccinated by a veterinarian that contracts EEE, WEE, VEE, EIV, WNV, rabies, tetanus or respiratory disease caused by EHV-1 or EHV-4 We also provide you with their deworming, dental and farrier information so you can continue to follow the same protocol once your horse arrives and is in your care. In addition to those thorough records, you will receive a copy of the feed regimen your horse is currently on while in our care. However, we strongly encourage potential buyers to watch the video of the horse multiple times and ask any questions they may have—seriously, I’m happy to answer as many as you need to make sure you’re fully informed. The videos are designed to show each horse as they truly are—no gimmicks, no tricks. We also spend a significant amount of time getting to know our buyers, so we can help match you with the right horse for your needs, goals, and plans. In addition, each horse undergoes a soundness evaluation, including basic flexion tests and trotting on hard surfaces to ensure they’re moving correctly. While we’re not veterinarians and don’t have X-ray vision, if you feel the need we absolutely encourage pre-purchase exams at the buyer’s expense! We can even connect you with trusted equine vets in the area. For some horses, pre-vet checks have already been done to streamline the buying process.
